Hi! I've been training at Elite Taekwondo in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, since I was 5 years old under Master Steve Bartley. Everyone calls him "Steve Sir". I am now 12 years old, a 2nd Poom (Degree) Black Belt and on the Elite Taekwondo Sparring Team. This is my fifth year on the team and enjoy training with my friends from "Team Pink" and "Team Purple". Have a look around my site and enjoy your visit.

Double Gold

EDMONTON, AB , March 20, 2010 - Kaitlyn had another successful weekend winning double gold medals at the Junior Blackbelt Tournament held in conjunction with the Alberta Senior Provincial Team Trials at the NAIT Gymnasium this past weekend. She won Gold in her division for Patterns and won both of her matches to earn the Gold in Sparring. Athletes from all over the province made their way to Edmonton to compete in the color and black belt divisions.

Kaitlyn wins Bronze at the 2010 U.S. Open

LAS VEGAS, NV, USA , February 15, 2010 - Kaitlyn's first time at the US Open proved to be a success as she won the Bronze medal for sparring for the 12-13 year old Female Fin Division. She handled the pressure well and used her skills to good use againts her opponents from the USA. Kaitlyn felt she did very well and was happy with the overall experience of attending a large international tournament. Her hard work and determination during the past few months definitely paid off. Kaitlyn also finished in the Top 16 in the Poomse competition. The US Open is attended every year by many atheletes from all over the world, including many Olympians and World Champions. One of the highlights of the tournament was when Kaitlyn had the opportunity to meet and talk to the Lopez family - Steven, Mark, Diana and Jean.
